Supporting CCF Australia initiatives is to support patient survival
I have read and used the Patient Navigator Journal, and it has been a godsend. It’s exceptionally well-written, easy to follow, and fills a gap that has existed for ICC patients for so long. The step-by-step guidance has been invaluable in my treatment and healing process. Just a few weeks ago, I shared it with my oncologist, who spent a long time reviewing it and was highly impressed.
I cannot speak highly enough of the Patient Navigator Journal.
I was diagnosed with Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma in late 2021 and had a recurrence in mid-2022. I am immensely grateful to Cholangiocarcinoma Australia, especially Steve Holmes. Before finding them, I knew very little about this disease, but through Steve, I gained crucial knowledge.
To fight this disease, patients need as much information as possible. Steve provides the perfect tools to empower us. Thanks to the knowledge I gained, I was able to act quickly when I experienced a recurrence. When some doctors dismissed my concerns, I knew to seek additional opinions—and that led to a second surgery just in time. I truly believe that without this information, my outcome could have been different. Today, I am two years cancer-free.
Please support Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation Australia’s patient initiatives—I certainly do!
